From brief
to billboard.
A clear planning path for agencies, national brands and local teams.
What happens after “let’s do a billboard”?
Choose the job before the board.
Tell BYB what people should remember or do: recognize a name, visit a destination, attend an event or consider a service. Share the business location, target market and dates so the route can serve the objective.
Agree the places and the schedule.
A network is a defined group of digital faces sold as a coordinated campaign. A selected face focuses on one approach. Your proposal should identify the product, included locations, flight dates and any required dayparts or creative assignments.
Build the message for its surroundings.
People see billboards while moving through everyday journeys. Give the design one main idea, a clear brand and a readable visual hierarchy. BYB’s creative team can help adapt the idea to the actual horizontal, vertical or wide formats in the buy.
Keep the campaign coordinated.
Prepare any later versions before they are needed. For a time-sensitive offer, supply the change date and approved replacement. If the campaign uses weather rules or a live feed, agree the source, layout and setup with BYB before launch.
One campaign.
A different part of the city each week.
36 digital faces. Four groups of nine. A standard 28-day flight takes your campaign through all four subnetworks, with a new group each week.
Start the introduction.
Begin with nine faces spanning familiar routes such as 43rd & Western, 14th & Cliff and Minnesota & 17th. Your message moves through this group during the first week.

Meet the next set of routes.
The next nine faces include 12th & Lyon, 26th & Marion and the east-side shopping corridors. A new weekly group gives the same campaign another set of locations.

Keep the story recognizable.
The third group adds reads along Louise Avenue, Cliff Avenue, 12th Street and the east side. Keep the brand consistent as the locations change.

A scheduled play lasts 10 seconds, with the campaign advancing to another face on the next minute. Plays are counted across the network, separately from audience impressions. This is an accelerated example of the four-week rotation, not a live campaign schedule.
Same brand.
A more timely invitation.
Dayparting assigns approved creative to selected hours. Try the three moments below to see how one restaurant campaign could change through the day.
Coffee. Breakfast. On your way.
Your restaurant · Your destination
Morning creative
Give the morning message one job. A short breakfast invitation can suit a commuter route while the offer is available. Keep the business name easy to recognize at a glance.
Example: breakfast creative assigned to approved morning hours.
Lunch plans, sorted.
Your restaurant · Your destination
Midday creative
Switch the invitation to the next relevant occasion. A lunch message can use the same brand and layout, with the main headline and product changing for the middle of the day.
Example: lunch creative assigned to approved midday hours.
Take dinner off your to-do list.
Your restaurant · Your destination
Evening creative
An after-work message can point toward a dinner occasion. Check the booked face’s travel direction before adding a turn or exit instruction, and keep any offer within the business’s actual hours.
Example: dinner creative assigned to approved evening hours.
Illustrative copy, not an actual client campaign. BYB confirms available scheduling, artwork and delivery in the campaign plan.
Two ways to
make an impression.
Digital networks allow creative to appear across several faces or locations. Some products follow a sequence, with timing described in their media kit. Static placements dedicate a face to one advertiser for the contract period.
The right choice depends on reach, frequency, creative, geography and the length of the campaign. A proposal confirms current availability and terms.
Let us make it concrete.
Send the objective and we will identify the placements that support it.
